Book Review Guidelines
Andrew Chadwick, Associate Editor for Book Reviews

The Journal of Information Technology and Politics (JITP) publishes “Book Reviews” as well as reviews of substantial government and research center reports. Book Reviews will have three main aims. First, they will provide readers of JITP with a sophisticated overview of the contents. Second, they will speak to the relevance of the book or report in the context of the literature on information technology and politics. Third, they will provide a reasoned critique that identifies the strengths and weaknesses measured both against the stated aims of the book or report and the existing literature in the field. Reviews should be approximately 3-6 double-spaced pages.

The Associate Editor for Book Reviews will generally seek to place important books with appropriate reviewers. Unsolicited reviews are welcome however potential authors should obtain prior approval from the Associate Editor. Reviews will be subject to peer and editorial review and their publication cannot be guaranteed.

The editors regard submission of a manuscript to JITP as an implied commitment by the contributors not to submit their paper to another publication while it is under consideration by this journal.
